Title: Spring swimbaits/Glide baits
Post by: snowshoes22 on February 16, 2021, 07:10:49 PM: Anybody lob the big baits for bass? Over the last 2 seasons I have really fallen in love with glidebaits. If I'm not tournament fishing or prefishing for a tournament I find myself leaving all my tackle at home and just throwing glides. Watching big bass stalk your bait is addicting.

I was a little bored this winter and added to the collection.

Post by: bassquatch on February 17, 2021, 09:34:48 AM: It's definitely its own class of bass fishing! You have to be committed to possibly one bite per day. Big gear, big patience, big bass. I have a few Hudds, a 13" Hiroshima trout and a couple combos set up specifically for throwing them but still find it hard to commit the time outside of March and April.

I got addicted to deep water off-shore fishing for bass a few years ago after a lifetime of being a shallow water addict. Just goes to show how bass fishing has something for everyone! Cool stuff! :tup:

Messed with glide baits on Mayfield back in the day and later over here in Spokane for muskies. Caught a few. Overall I don't have the patience for muskies OR glide baits.

I'm usually the guy throwing undersized baits to catch more fish :chuckle:
