Title: ???Bird Id???
Post by: boneaddict on November 07, 2007, 01:41:48 PM
Is this a Blue?  There were three of them, but hey had alot of white in them.  I didn't ever notice that Blues had that much white.

Sure looks alot like a blue grouse to me.  But to be honest have not killed a blue since I left Montana 14 years ago.  But if I were to see that in the woods, I would call it a blue grouse.

Bone, I believe both the Blues and the forest have white spots when young. I shot a nice forest west of Adam's on Monday. Later the same day bumped a couple smaller (in mature is my guess) that still had white spots on them in Pack Forest.
