This should be another fun thread.
Let's see your harvest with a bow.
I had to knock some dust off some old photos, as my start was in bow hunting. I hunted with a bow from 12-27 with the exception of one deer and a black bear everything else in that time frame was with a bow.
This was was my first bull. I was serving an apprenticeship in southern Idaho at the time. OTC bull

A Washington general season buck

Check out the arrows :chuckle:
-
Hard quartering away shot as he was leaving the calling . 30 yard shot , broadhead lodged in front opposite leg , bull tipped over in sight.
-
My first “medium” game harvest with my bow. Spot and stalking through a Texas river bottom/swamp while I was stationed in Ft. Hood. That was some of my favorite hunting , I made the hour drive almost every weekend as it was the only non baited public land.
-
My best bull with a bow. I called him into 30 yards. Idaho OTC
-
First Elk and deer with a bow.

My last bull w a bow, 20 yards broadside.

Mind if i ask what brand of bow that is. Looks a bit like the bow i bought used that doesnt have any markings on it to tell me who made it. Mines 56 in , 55lb at 28in.

Another Idaho bull

Washington buck

Another Washington buck
Come on guys, I know we have some good bow hunters on here. Let's see what you have
-
This was a few years ago, very first Bow kill, 12 yards from my tree stand. On my way out to the stand I missed him at 40 yards, didn’t have time to range and he was about 50. Back then the bows were a little slower!! An hour later, he walked under my stand, had to wait till he got farther out to shoot.

My first archery deer. A whitetail spike/fork
-
My first archery elk.
-
Not first one with a bow. But the best one. 7x5 Blacktail. 125 P&Y after deductions.
-
Dandy blacktail!

Big deal, you say.... just a doe. Well, I shot this ‘ol gal at a measured 50 yards in open country..... with a longbow I built myself......with an arrow I built myself.... with a broadhead I made from an old saw blade.. no sights or release, just instinct. One of my best hunting memories and accomplishments.

Pure AWESOME! That had to feel pretty special.

Most of mine have been with a bow; here’s an old one from when the peninsula had a good elk pop

Here’s a few.
To start off here’s my first deer at 9 years old on public land

Montana trip. Was down to my last day and decided to fill my tag on a doe. It’s definitely hard with a bow

2018 and biggest bull to date. For reference I’m 6’2
