Title: Toyota ball joint failure
Post by: thinkingman on March 14, 2021, 07:27:18 PM
All on pavement

Why would a company engineer these to fail like this?

Imagine if they weren’t on pavement?

I’ve owned lots of Toyota’s over the years. A couple million miles on all of them combined. Never once have I ever had a problem with ball joints :twocents:

You must have something against Toyota? This isn’t your first thread about a Toyota issue. Kinda like kicking a dead horse.

It's not an issue with Toyota that is concerning.

Lol ball joints fail? Who knew? Don't start a thread on Ram front chasis problems, it might hit 500 pages.

It’s a promise I made to Toyota when they completely screwed me on the leaf spring reimbursement with a complete set of receipts and years of documentation and they laughed and said ‘Koolaid drinkers will buy our crap anyway’.
That and peoples’ unwillingness to admit facts (not feelings).
Like arguing with Libs.

The problem is that literally millions of people have facts that Toyotas are reliable rigs.  You're the one going off feelings because you're butt hurt Toyota didn't do what you wanted.  The impact of your "promise" to them is near zero I'm thinking!

Something is near zero.  I can't quite put my finger on it, though.

You also have to keep in mind Toyota sold 2.4 million vehicles in North America in 2018 compared to say Ford that sold 5.9 million in North America.

That's why it's an average of per 100 vehicles not total #'s

“I’m mad at Toyota and I made a promise to tell everyone about it!!!   I’m so loud and boisterous that I will just keep posting negative stuff.....so much so that people will just think I’m bitter and my attempt to get back at Toyota will fall on deaf ears.”

Does that about sum this thread up??

Had a 1st gen Toyota Tacoma and a 4-Runner.  Tacoma had 365k miles and 4-Runner had 260k miles.  Never saw this issue or had this failure.  Had to replace other items though from normal wear and tear.

All on pavement? Might want to look at the photos again  :dunno: And showing a bunch of photos without context doesn't tell us anything.

Might want to look into buying snivel-protection insurance, because Toyota is out to get you.

I went to high school with a guy that whined so much we called him "Squeegee"
"Squeeg" for short.
Good guy most of the time, but the other 10%, the male Debbie Downer.
