I'm in for sheep, deer and elk. Fingers crossed. I at least feel like I have a chance in states with no point system. I too waited until the last couple of hours and ended up putting him in for Deer, Elk, Speed Goat, Oryx, Ibex, and Bighorn. 5 weeks until we find out!

Yes they are as a matter of fact. A minimum of 84% of draw licenses are awarded to New Mexico residents. Up to 10% of draw licenses are awarded to residents and nonresidents applying with a New Mexico registered outfitter. This leaves 6% at the most to non resident. When MN went to allocating up to 10% of the draw to outfitters it was a game changer.

The kid drew a Mule deer tag and an Oryx also, so we get to go back to NM again this year as he won a mule deer tag/license last year.
If the stars align we'll do his deer hunt, then scout a couple of days for Oryx while waiting for the Dec season to arrive. Then hunt a week or so for his Oryx, as I'm trying to just make the drive once. It's nice the Oryx is a month-long season though.

I spent 18 days in unit 6c 2 years ago chasing elk during archery season hunted up high seen very little to no deer but the one buck I did see was a masher. I jumped him going through the timber. PM me and I can tell you about terrain and roads.

I put in this year to up my odds of pulling a bighorn sheep tag . i decided id put in for barbary sheep and elk aswell .

Congrats. The draw odds for 6b are almost as bad as sheep tag odds.
