They’re Coming for Your Guns: White House Confirms Biden Will Sign Gun Control Executive Orders

So at this point he's not upholding his oath to protect the constitution. Isn't that impeachable?
-
About the same as pislousy fiendstene, chummer and sleepy Joe when he was a senator
-
Old Joe just smoke and mirrors like normal.

How so?
I mean specifically “at this point”. Because “at this point” he hasn’t done squat. What’s he going to do? We don’t know. Is changing background checks impacting our 2A rights?
Just wondering. Politicians have been “coming for our guns” for decades.
(I voted for Trump)

Joe Biden loves to preach to us how he made assault weapons and high-capacity magazines illegal in 1994, and he intends to do so again. Truth is, "assault weapons" and high capacity (over 10 round) magazines were NOT made illegal in 1994.
The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 made some "assault weapons" illegal to own, but not all of them by any means. What it did do was make the manufacture of new ones (and magazines) illegal, but existing ones were grandfathered. You could walk into any decent sized gun store and find both. There were tables at the WAC gun shows stacked high with magazines which held over 10 rounds.
Joe Biden either has dementia and cannot remember what he did, or he is an outright liar. I, personally, think both are true.
It will be interesting to see what he attempts to do with his new executive orders.

Yes and they have learned since then.
He wants to make them all Class 3 with no grandfathering.

Once he actually does something besides stumble through a canned press conference, however you must also admit that the rules for the average citizen do not apply for the members of communist democrat party elite

This. Lets stop the ghost gun .
I've seen several places that sell 80% products are already ready for this crap and have started selling complete products with serial number and everything. So his big plan of putting it out of business will back fire. And we will just have more products that can be bought through the regular gun buying process.
I haven't bought a gun since washington started making us register through the sheriff department.

When should I expect them to kick in my door?

I really don't think they are kicking in any doors .
They just want to hurt manufacturers.
But who knows.

I don't see anybody claiming they're going to be knocking doors down.
That's not the point.
The point is just a few more paper cuts in their "Death by a thousand paper cuts" strategy.
The are slowly winning.

I'd say they are coming for our guns, one small paper cut at a time.
Many libs in power are on the record of wanting to ban/confiscate many weapons such as AR-14's (Beto, our new gun Czar).
They just have figured out that they can't get immediate bans so they are playing the long game.
The end goal for them, in their own words, would result in banning semiauto's and high cap magazines.
At least that's my opinion.

They already have. That is the point.

Letting people sue mfg for peoples misuse of their guns has got to be scary for mfg.
Biden’s #1 objective he said today.
-
As I keep reading numerous sites on this issue, one thing keeps coming up BUT not here so far. The 68 GCA protects the so called "ghost guns" (80%). Something about being a "trained" homeowner/gunsmith.
Which if true, just goes to show you career politicians and D's don't have a clue!! WE all know they are incapable of reading "bills" or "law"!!

With do respect, you could be asked the same, explain why this is a good idea, explain why all these small orders won't amount to anything down the road, explain why this president is better for our rights and our country than the previous, explain why and how our country and we as Americans are better off. I am asking honest questions, I've asked them in other threads but just get crickets. I am being respectful and will be respectful to your answers, Ive had many liberal/lifelong democrat friends that have stepped up and said that this presidency may have been a mistake, some are remorseful, some are embarrassed, like I said in the other threads, I may not agree with their politics but I certainly respect their honesty and integrity. Maybe you think having Biden as president and not having Trump is the greatest thing to have happened to this country and we as Americans are going to reap all the awards and have our rights protected, I would just like to hear why and how, respectfully. Ive seen and read on here for years the hate for Trump but now that he is gone I have not seen anyone, not one come forward and defend President Biden, his actions or his words. Honest questions, was it for the love of Biden, were you voting party lines or was it just hatred for Trump. I know those are personal preference questions and they don't need to be answered but, they are questions we can all ask ourselves, do we like most of what this president and his party are doing for this great country, if so those that do should be defending it, not just ridiculing those who come forward and don't agree with it.

That is a very interesting comment. I have two friends that I hang out with, and go shooting with. They are both gun-owners, and somewhat liberal Democrats. I have made the comment to both of them, numerous times, that virtually all legislation which is anti-gun has come from Democrats. This includes both state and national legislation, over the past 50-60 years. Funny thing......neither of them has ever wanted to discuss it. They just change the subject. When I bring up I-594 or I-1639, neither of them care to defend them. And yet, they continue to vote for the Democrats who foist this garbage on them. If you care to defend either of those initiatives, feel free.

Liberalism is a disease, like brain worm. No matter how much evidence they have to the contrary, they still believe it when they're told they're helping. And the people they're helping? They haven't been helped.

I have a very liberal friend whom is a hunting partner. When 2A issues come up he just repeats many of the standard tropes. Especially they wont actually come for your guns. All i can guess is that the contradictions are too much for him to comprehend.
I had a liberal friend that had a red pill moment (on a different political issue not this one) i was told that it was only from personal observation and impacts that made it happen... So if IMO if you really want some one to change thier mind they have to feel the pain in a personal way. 2c

My reason for not replying is because that is what you do. Why give you an actual answer to your questions when you never provide the same for others.
Admittedly pretty childish, but when in Rome...

You are right. I can’t.
You FN morons are too stupid to figure it out.
All of these attacks are based on how you think I voted. Truth is (and I hate feeling like I need to say this) I voted Trump in 2016 and 2020. Not because I thought he was a capable leader, but because he was the lesser of two evils. His behavior after the last election was alarming to say the least and the action of some hard core Trump supporters since has been telling. Moving forward I’ll never vote party line again or compromise for the lesser of two evils.
It’s not ok to call people a national disgrace for the way they voted and it’s even worse to assume someone’s political affiliation and demonize them based on those assumptions.
So keep it up, keep driving away the votes you’ll need during the midterms. Just don't bitch when the democrats win next time.
You will only have yourselves to blame.

Does something have to impact your day to day to cause concern.... eventually all these new laws and executive orders add up to one big cluster...

Well, he voted Trump x2 and I'll take his word for it. I understand he doesn't like Trump, so we have at least that in common to a small degree.
So this gun thing isn't on him, nor should he be taking jabs on it.

Genuine curiosity. I'm not taking jabs or judging. I don't care who someone voted for. I just often hear from people if something doesn't directly affect them they don't care about it. My question for them is at what point do they start to care. Often by then it's to late.

I guess maybe I insinuated how he voted.
But it was more indicative of his thought process or apathy towards any new gun control measures. Which would be in line with fishreapers line of questioning.
In any event, I don't really care what or how he thinks. That is his problem. I just don't want it to become my problem.

I did and told the story on here many times out of about 10 of them all but a couple are very concerned about this presidency and admit it was a mistake to vote for the democratic ticket that was put before them. I even told the story of the fella who lives down the road from me, has for years, he flew his Biden/Harris flag proudly in his yard, has been a door knocker and been involved with caucuses for the Democratic Party for years. A month or so after the election he actually walked over, shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said "this presidency may have been a mistake", he said he actually had "buyers remorse" over his vote. He said even though he was a loyal democrat, he did think Trump had done a good job but he voted party lines. Have a relative who is center/left democrat who actually is a member of the NRA and an avid/responsible gun owner and into competitive shooting, she told me her vote for Biden was strictly out of hate for Trump and is now very worried about what may be coming down the pipe, she regrets her vote for Biden stating now that she has seen and heard him in action and looking in the rearview mirror says that at least Trump had our country and constitution as a priority. I could give more examples of folks I've "asked" and had respectful conversations with but I've told them many times on here. Like I said, I may not agree with their politics but I do respect their honesty and integrity. As far as the jaysharkbait fella goes and him saying that folks on here are turning republicans towards the Democratic Party(or something to that effect). A lot, not all but a lot of my democrat friends and relatives have been turned republican just by the actions of this current presidency and the hypocrisy that has been on full display by the Democratic Party over the last few months. I hope I answered your question Jake Dogfish, I'm still waiting for someone, anyone to step up and answer mine, what is your defense of this president and his actions? If no one steps forward I guess ill take it as there is no defense :dunno:

I'm a moderator because I cared deeply about the future of fishing/hunting in Washington and wanted to volunteer, and be a part of the biggest voice hunters had here in WA.
I'm also a regular member here, with all of my own thoughts and opinions, the same as everyone else, and many of those thoughts and opinions (obviously) do not align with your own, so you attack my moderator position when I've never mod'd you. I understand the tactic you use in doing so, and I think it's cheap, and tired.
unless you're an alt, we've had a number of banned members make alts and come back with a chip on their shoulders

No idea what you mean by alt, and no I've never been banned. I just don't like how you label some and belittle others for having views that don't align with yours.

Ya, I'll own that.
Since the election I've been far more adversarial, I will tone it down but not because you threw me being a mod in my face, but as a HW'r.
