Title: 6.5 x .300 major issue need advice.
Post by: Oh Mah on April 06, 2021, 03:10:08 PM
Ok so the collet die came today and all brass slides right in the go no go gauge built in.I looked the brass over with a micro scope and found the edge of the belted shoulder has a sliver of brass rolled up to it.the one on the left is unfired and new from Weatherby. What could have caused this?Did i go too far with the fl sizing die?

I'd back the FL die out so that it doesn't even touch the area above the belt because the collet die will get that area if needed. Just set up your FL die to bump the shoulder then finish it off with the larry willis die.
