I've been wanting to hunt turkeys in Hawaii since about 2012. Over the last decade I have been trying to make the trip over to hunt them, but have always had something come up to prevent the trip from happening. I finally made it over there this year. All the Covid protocols made for a extreme challenge just to get there. I found the turkey hunting to be much more challenging than I anticipated. There are a lot of birds on the Island, but didn't seem to be many on public land. It took me 6 full days of hunting before I finally located a flock of birds on public land and was able to knock down a double that morning. Spent the last few days of the trip enjoying warm water beaches and endless ahi tuna meals.

Was there ever any doubt? I'm not surprised you made it happen. Working towards a US slam?
