Title: 7mm-08 and 139gr Barnes LRX
Post by: Damnimissed on April 08, 2021, 02:13:02 PM
Is there anyone here that has experience with these? I’m down to less than a box of 140 AB’s and my daughter needs some time on the shooting bench, so I might buy these and work up a load, for bench time at least.

What kind of accuracy and/or performance on game are guys seeing at 7mm-08 velocities?

I've been considering this as well. They're awful hard to come by, along with most bullets these days. If you find some let me know.

My  :twocents: is also that the 120 gr TTSX is almost the exact same length as the 140 accubond. I've killed a mule deer and a bear with them and they both died, quite fast. Might be worth looking for those, they seem to be a little easier to find.

I would find something much cheaper for just range or practice than barnes hunting bullets.  :twocents:

I only like to practice with potential hunting loads. The 140gr AB is my go-to in this rifle but they are hard to find, so I’m looking at other options.

I bought a box of 120 TTSX for the same reason...Long for weight.
Good luck, OP.
