I got a friend who just moved up to our great city of spoklahoma Washington from luoisiana , and of course he's a crappi guy , actually he's pretty cool , but anyways , I gathered all my correct fishing documents and headed to the spadex ballet to get a crappi pole , some jig hooks , and some line that I can't see ! , And some hooks after bellying up to the place of document inspection , I came to the conclusion that wall Mart really isn't that cheep , crap a $100 for crappi crap ! CRAAAAP !!! Wow ! Is it crappi , crappy , crappie or cropy , need some help on that part of the southern lingo I geuss , So I geuss we're headed to Elioka lake , some fool let the word out that this sludge pit has crappi in it and during the spring it's the place to getcrappi , this rediculouse methodology of fishing is all new to me , but my buddies description of what end up with after HE ! cleans , breades , and feet fat Fry's them has , for the most part got me interested , and the morning we go , I'll get up early for one reason only !,,, To make a batch of my famous tarter sauce and let it fester till we get back , stay tuned film at 11 and yes guys I haven't forgot how this format fits in well with a fine meal of Arby's sauce on a Cajun twinkee , but we will be in his boat , so that will have to wait till I itriduce him to the mighty Columbia y:all be cool and stay safe n healthy

Yep buying new gear can be crappy proposition. Sometimes I feel like I'm not sure I'm getting the right thing and I just might be throwing good money down the crapper.

It really is a crap chute sometimes.....

It really is a crap chute sometimes.....
Yep - but the good days make up for it. Like one day a few years ago on lake Washington. We filled the cooler and then caught and threw back over 300 more after that.

Well that was a great day , we couldn't locate any crappi for a couple hours , then a couple guys pulled up next to us , I geuss to show us how stupid we are , he showed me a stringer full of awesome crappi , he then pointed , to a log laying from shore to in the water , he's said there all over in there ,so my southern friend gave him a shot of some silly goof juice called petrone , sound like a high octain dragster fuel , but he seemed to enjoy it ,we headed to the tree and anchored about ten yards off shore and I casted right next to the tree , tightened my line , gave it a good jigging pull and fish on ! I cought my limit.it in ten inch crappi in about a hour , but this didn't prove to be a easy task after some fool my friend new pulled up in his boat , first thing he rammed our boat like it was a funny bumper car test at a carnival , I told him to anchor off , and he did , funny thing is he didn't tie the rope to his boat , so he lost his bragged up brand new anchor , so much to my anger he tied to our boat , five minutes later he says ,do we have a extra pole , so I asked do you have a license ? He said yes just got one , so I couldn't help but ask why didn't you buy a pole also ? Wow ! He said he did but I geuss he thought the anchor was lonely down there , cuz he said he casted it but it went flying into the water !!!??? O. M. G. !!! So my buddy loned him his extra pole , five minutes later I'm untangling my freeekn crap cuz his first cast buried my bobber in his line , bobber and hook so bad that all I could do is cuss vilelenly , and cut everything , while my friend is catching fish as fast as possible , I FINNALLY got this clown disconnected from myself and proceeded to catch fish again , but yep , you geussed it !!! He had my friend re rig his crap , and first cast landed right on me again !!!!! Same crap ,, had to cut crap off !!! FINNALLY I had to ask my friend ,, WHAT THE HELL !! Come to find out this idiots name is New York and he's new to Washington , new to boat ownership , new to fishing and already very old to me ,so I told my friend to give me the back of the boat and you deal with the fool , so we did , my friend limited ,so he proceeded to show this clown how to fish n cast and bait n tie his line , in about. a hour he was casting and catching fish , I geuss his screaming and yelling over his success was gratifying in some way , but my first advice for him at the boat launch , Wich by the way was very entertaining to say the least , was for him to buy another anchor and learn to tie it off , so he can fish as far away from me as possible , he thanked us for all the help and we headed home ,but as I found the misery was not over , he FREEEEEKN followed us to my house , and now my back yard table was turned into a but and gut n skin and fillet 25 crappi !! My wife went to work this morning , and I didn't get my usaul kiss good by , O. M. G. !!!! A HUGE ! MESS , and a cording to my wife we need a new table , but tonight we will be tasting what real frustration tastes like , really looking forward to that , but what a entertaining ???? Day !

we had lots of help from Jonathan_S and BULLBLASTER. It was Wyatts first real away from the truck adventure. Was more fun than a guy like me deserves to have! Few of those are 14" crappie or as Wyatt called them, "Donkeys" :chuckle:
-
That’s some seriously good eating. Wow.
-
Any info on meyhodolology for potholes ?

In my vast crappie fishing experience (1 day :chuckle:), id say focus on finding structure. Edge of weed beds in the morning and evening, and downed logs, over hanging branches, docks, etc.
