My statement is based on a conversation as well.
I then pointed out that we have several different species of salmon and we seem to do ok identifying those….. All I got was a blank look.

I assume it’s similar with boats, plenty of people crab that don’t fish or study regulations.

How long does it take for those South Sound Crabs to come back? Is it over fishing?All you have to do is run from Nisqually to Zittles about 40 days before the typical sport opener and you will see why we don’t get a season. Commercial pots strung out every couple hundred feet for miles. Last time I was out there (a couple of years ago) they all followed the 150’ line.
