Title: mathews monster, good or no good?

Post by: bucklucky on April 26, 2009, 08:15:18 AM: I would go shoot it, I loved it and was very impressed. Espetially since you dont need the high poundage to have awesome speed! Just remember, if you shoot one make sure it is turned up all the way or close to it. If it is a60-70 pound bow you want to be at least 65 pounds but preferably closer to the 70 fo max performance. You'll have less vibration too.

I shot a 70# bow set at 64 and it was night and day when drawing it back between 70 and 64. I Think I would have a hard time with a 70# bow in a hunting situation especially if you have to let down. Watched a 60# ( which was maxed out at 65# ) 26" Monster shoot a 400g arrow through the crono at 275 fps. So us short draw guys can finally get some decent speed out of our short draw. The hand shock was nothing more than what I expected and was toleratable.

I want the best of all of the above,that's why I switched this year to the reezen....sorry couldn't resist :chuckle:
