If ya need any direction let me know. There's great bulls in that unit I've been waiting 18 years to draw. So tired of big bulls at 20yards an no permit in hand.
-
Had that tag 11 years ago, was a great time. Good luck, hopefully you find a good one!

That is a tank tgray! did you get him scored?

Hi Skyvalhunter,
I have used this site in the past to see the yearly kills, however, I decided to make an account last October when my dad drew a moose permit. I am a lifelong central Washington hunter. Chose Alpine lakes outdoorsman because I spend a ton of time backpacking, fishing, and hunting in Alpine lake's wilderness. Love to help in any way I can when somebody draws a tag.

I drew observatory archery this year I’m pretty pumped but also looking for any intel.

My buddy and I drew the same tag. I am planning on getting out there after the 4th of July. I wish you luck. We have hunted this area over the years. It is wide and vast. We have had bulls right in on us. I'll send you a PM with more info. Good Luck, I hope we all tag out and have the time of our life.

No permission needed. That is public land.

Drew the rifle tag (season was right before muzzleloader) with a buddy. He got his opening morning and I got mine in the last half hour of the last day in the same meadow.
Game Dept told me the bulls were from Manastash Lake and higher and they were right. It's thick and no slam dunk. They were vocal at night.
Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any questions.

Is the 340/336 gmu's still closed? How are you Observatory/Peaches tag holders fairing? Its getting close to the tag turn in deadline, must be stressful! Good luck out there, I hope it rains!

That bottom bull is so cool. Any more pics of it you can post?

My son drew one of the rifle tags. We were in scouting when they evacuated and closed due to the wind ridge fire. Hopefully we get some rain and see that closure lifted. Looking forward to more scouting and this opportunity with him.
