from the link:
More than 40 people spoke against the measures, many voicing concerns that snaring and trapping was a danger to people and other “non-targeted” animals, like grizzly bear, Canadian Lynx and even household pets.
40 people against, that makes 4 in favor of....
every time WDFW proposals cross HW forums there's 100's of responses, so proud of that! especially when compared to this abysmal feedback.

I am not surprised. In the first place it was at a meeting. Where and when the meeting was held could be a critical component of the mix of the slant of the comments. Was it via zoom? Anti-hunting activists are flooding the comments in the zoom meetings.
This March I gave public comment before the WA F&W Commission regarding the adoption of the three year Trapping season package. There were 16 people signed up to testify. I was the only one who gave pro-trapping comments. All the others were anti-trapping so 15 to 1 against trapping. It was a zoom meeting.

I am pretty sure that a lot of people that hunt and fish, or do outdorsey type stuff, are not as ‘tech capable’ as most ‘Citified’ folks. I would have to go find out how to ‘zoom’, and most of the people I know would be in the same situation.

Missoula is one of the hotbeds of liberalism in Montana, most of rural Montana wishes they could offload them, pretty much the same way we feel about King County.

Free wolf burgers at the booth next to the stop trapping booth.

yep and Bozeman is trying to catch up with them. That state will turn completely blue sooner than later

People from San Francisco, Bay Area, Silicon Valley have been migrating to Idaho and Montana as they can telecommute from their homes rather than work in an office. They voted for the mess that they are fleeing from, they will continue to vote for socialist policies that will destroy the areas that they migrate to.

Anyone here remember the Seattle Times 'Go back to California' articles in the 80's? This place changed a lot as they kept moved in and made it 'Pacific Northwestern California'.
Now that this place is good and messed up a lot are moving to other places because the people there are 'easy going' and the cost of living is cheap, just like it was here.
Soon to be more screwed up places by the 'majority votes' changing.
Like was said here back then, "You can see every vote you need from the top of the Space Needle".

Sad but true, and truly sad.

Montana is very capable of cultivating their own liberal ideology and has been for years.

Other states need to take responsibility and quit blaming California for their own failings. They gave us Nixon and Reagan.
