For those of you who have an iPhone thier is a tide chart app that is awesome. I have used this app for snorkeling in Hawaii as well as launching from docks and navigating the sound. Great real time tool. Its call "Tide Graph" and I beleive its still FREE!

I think this site is awesome for trip planning in the San Juans. Any body else use it?

Good accurate marine forecasts, you can also find what ships are reporting for weather for certain areas, all navy ships, coast guard cutters, most commercial ships and some ferry report weather hourly to NOAA

Any good websites that alert of red tides?

Deepzoom.com I think I posted this a while back, but it is a good one for tides and currents including animated arrows.

Yep, was just going to post it. Tides are useful at the boat launch, current is what you need to know for fishing.
-
Yup, I use DeepZoom on my phone for the San Juans. Great tool.
-
You can also do this in the Navionics app.
Tides, wind, weather, and of course the map data.
