I have used this app for snorkeling in Hawaii as well as launching from docks and navigating the sound. Great real time tool. Its call "Tide Graph" and I beleive its still FREE!

This is a good site for reports on fishing salmon and steelhead.

Good accurate marine forecasts, you can also find what ships are reporting for weather for certain areas, all navy ships, coast guard cutters, most commercial ships and some ferry report weather hourly to NOAA

Yep, was just going to post it. Tides are useful at the boat launch, current is what you need to know for fishing.
