3rd generation Hunter in this area from grandfather in the 50-60’s to father for 64 years to me for 40 years and now my kids and grandkids. From horseback to totegote’s and now tw200’s and modified jeep. Our camp for the most part has always been at the Hale ranch which is the last house on shady pass road out of 25 mile creek. Always have big wood pile and fire during season and cold beer. Always loved helping fellow hunters during late season with possible locations to hunt. This year like all the past years myself and both kids put in for the late season tags both Entiat and slide ridge and seem to always donate instead of get drawn. This year my son and I did the group hunt because our average points were high but left daughter out because she only has 9 points. Results came out and when I checked mine and sons we of course donated again. I didn’t check daughters because she only had 9 points and was no where near the normal average of draw points. Well this past Saturday she gets a letter from WDFW informing her she has been drawn for late season slide ridge with 9 🤬 points 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ She is super excited as she has her 2 1/2 year old daughter already hooked on hunting (been up the last two years) and is pregnant with her 2nd child (a boy) and lol due November 20th! So should be an epic year we will get after it this year wood pile will be bigger and hopefully we create an epic picture and experience to share with the baby boy when he gets bigger.

I told her all she had to do was squeeze that trigger on a big buck and Dad and Brother will do the hauling

Congrats, 9 points is still a lot of tickets in the draw. Odd you would assume she couldn’t draw. Average point to draw is just that. The average.

 The Hale family, knew them back in the 70' and sat on a board with David Hale(father) for years. He was the Ranger for the Chelan district then. Smart man when it came to the "woods".
