Went to Holiday Sports today, to purchase all my hunting licenses and tags. After the process started, I was suddenly told that I had been flagged as not having a valid hunter education card. WHAT?!!! I took that class in 1970! They could not sell me anything! I was told that I wasn't the first/only one. They said the state had updated the software 4 days ago, and this has been happening since.
They said it is being worked on. but resolution is unknown/TBD. I called later to see if bringing my old card in would resolve this. They were willing to try it, but, said it was unknown if this would work.I had other obligations for the day, so I declined.
Thought some of you might find this interesting, and chuckle/shake your head/smile.

1970? You should be aged out?

Happened to me the other day trading my deer tag for multiseason. Voided my weapon specific tag and couldnt sell me a multi. They called again and it was corrected.

Seems like every time they touch that decrepit computer system if theirs, stupid problems like this come up. Before I moved I bought my turkey tag & a bear tag the day before I left to go turkey hunting. Left the store with tags in hand & when I got home 10 minutes later had emails saying I couldn’t hunt until they mailed me my turkey tag.

I got a chuckle out of hearing the one side of the conversation the worker was having with wdfw. He said “we just canceled a tag he had, doesnt that mean he had it before and already did hunters ed?” :chuckle:
Im not sure where they looked it up but it didnt take overly long to correct.

That's terrible. Maybe they subcontracted out IT support to the Unemployment Department.
I hope they fix that ASAP.

Don't ask me how I know but go back to the dealer and tell him/her to clear the customer cache and try again.

Y'all are lucky, when they got hacked 2 years ago my wild I'd got erased. A lot of back and forth with Olympia to figure it out, my name was gone out of the system completely. Lost all my points that pissed me off the worst of all, but I had to go to Olympia and provide my hunters Ed card, trappers education card and wco certificate to get it all fixed. Hard to say I never was in the system with all that and last year's licenses in my hand
