I drew that tag two years ago , that was a fun hunt , did you get hooked up with a good hound guy yet ?

If you plan to hunt with your own dogs (non-outfitted) make sure you have the "Non-Resident" hound license. Its an additional $250 and they have to be applied for in August and there is a quota. That went into effect last year. Helps ensure they get some more money out of your pocket if you'd like to go DIY and don't use an outfitter. If you don't draw the hound permit they will give you your money back, but you'll still have your cougar tag and can hunt without hounds.

Ya I’ve been helping my buddy over there the last few years running hounds during the cat season. He owns Rivers and Ridges outfitters.

Very cool! You guys should find a good one. My hunting partner knows James and Ross, sounds like it should be a great time chasing cats. Good luck.
