Title: Buying from Armslist & Shipping
Post by: pickardjw on August 12, 2021, 01:32:50 PM
Has anyone ever bought from Armslist from a vendor that ships? Wondering how secure and reliable the process is. Looking for a P320 M18 and haven't been able to find one local.

I haven't personally, but my brother has. Just shipped to his local FFL etc and it was fine.

If they are a premium vendor and they have their business info at the bottom of the page and you can verify with a quick search it in fact is a place of business that is reputable and has good reviews then it should be no problem

If it’s a private party then party at your own risk.

Been looking on Gunbroker too but trying to find the best deal. And I just paid for Armslist to buy a Stoeger M3500, kinda want the best bang for my buck there.

I hope you used a visa I bought 4 guns from a scammer last week and gave him 4 f ratings then gunbroker deleted him another guy was bidding on a pistol until the scammer was deleted but before I made the scammer mad a guy bought and sent the scammer $1720 and he was the 6thf rating be careful the poor guy is trying to contact gunbroker he lost quite a few $100 bills

You're safer on GB, Armslist has a horrible reputation for scammers..  You are always at risk with either but gunbroker has a few more controls

I would only buy from a dealer on gunbroker. It is easy to check their ffl.

Your credit card might not cover guns for fraud coverage. Sometimes guns get thrown in the "seedy" category.

Armslist is a sketchy place. There was a problem with my account and they weren't able to fix it. My ad was left online and no one was able to contact me.  Not a good sign when the company can't fix their own accounts.

I read somewhere that it is really just a couple guys running it from their basement.

Most *censored* bag scammers don’t list credit cards for payment but if they do they say their machine isn’t working so please pay another way. I might go look to see if can by 3 or 4 Barrett’s or a few scars the scammer are easy to find
