Just checked cameras. Only got 6 days worth of pictures until a elk knocked it off the tree. Looks like he has matching kickers started. Picture was June 29th. Don't know how to judge the whitetails. He's going in the freezer if I get a chance.

Looks like he’s gonna be a solid buck to me lol

Ditch weed is what everyone around here calls it. Stuff is everywhere. Nebraska buck. Public land to boot. I just moved here from Washington. They don't have any good forums here so I still use this one

Elkfun12, damn nice buck! Tech tip, put your cams up at least 10’ to keep critters from screwing with them.
-
Unfortunately everything around here is a overgrown shrub. They don't have trees like we did back in wa. This is western Nebraska. Mule deer country. I have another buck from the same spot before I cleared it.

Most likely continue growth until you make him dead
-
The first will grow some length not any more width but would pop him first opportunity

Yeah that second buck is June 23rd. I'm guessing a month of crazy growth before they slow down. But I'm not sure how they grow down here compared wa. I've heard July is the best month for growth. If that's the case these 2 will be beasts. Just wanted some opinions from fellow members. Season opens September 1st here for archery!

Good luck!

If that's the case they will be dandys. Like I said no more spread but mass and length will be in play.
One question is why don't you have any pictures since june?

It's 3 hours from me. In the middle of a corn field and the wind is always bad. But I checked cameras on June 26th and checked them yesterday. There's a small herd of elk in the draw also. On July 5th the elk knocked my camera down. So the last month and a half there has been no picture :bash:

Last picture :bash:

Not a ton more, a couple inches (which really adds up).
Older bucks grow the majority of their antler sooner
