I’d be turning my tag back in if it was me! Pretty much all the good moose habitat is gone in this area. There’s still some to the north of the fire but it’s pretty much all private and could still burn up as well. This tag won’t be worth much for quite a few years now.

Just awful to see. As you know, my dad (age 64) has one of the tags this year and is super stressed out. Turning it back in isn't a great option at his age.

This one is indeed hard to watch, especially because the DNR website says that it was caused by humans.

If they get a line around it and stop it from spreading any further north he still has a pretty decent area to hunt. We got some rain last night that helped calm it down quite a bit.
