Title: Official PISCUTTER thread.
Post by: boneaddict on November 10, 2007, 03:48:04 PM
In memory of the website many of us used to belong too  :chuckle:

Here is the official pissscutter thread.  I see alot of them and I don't take their pics, but somedays its just slow, or I can't resist.

First whitie of the season....(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv47%2Fboneaddict%2Fpisscutter.jpg&hash=5d5b6c96b37b3e56dc906b1298ed3393186f2cda)

Another pisscutter, but the cool thing about stalking pisscutters and hot does, sometimes you get more than you bargain for.

That is a good looking buck you ran into while stalking the pisscutter.

Funny thing is, as I was then stalking him, another 4 showed up and then another and then I spotted another.  I was trying to decide whether to feature each one or give samples of all 4 in one thread.  I was having an unbelievable 30 minutes.  I started with the whitetails then nothing for the longest time, then all of a sudden 4 decent 4 points in the matter of minutes.  I was stlaking one, when I heard something behind me, turned to see one within 20 feet of me.  I got a blurry picture of him barely filling the viewfinder.  This guy here will be features as BBS V I guess.

Nice photos. I wish I had my camera with me on Sunday as I was attacked  :chuckle: by one of these piscutters down in the Snocrummie Valley. Too bad it wasn't a legal area and time for taking deer. The story of my year.

here's another one:
Pisscutter
A Marine's garrison cover. The word was used extensively in the middle 20th Century, presently out of vogue due to a serious lack of political correctness. The etymology of the word is not known. One possible explanation comes from Kate Gladstone who says, "I have heard 'pisscutter' used by (elderly male) non-Marines to describe anything which has a sharp, spiffy-looking fold or edge or crease - e.g., a particularly well-made hat-brim, or an admirably crisp crease in a pair of pants." In the novel Shogun by James Clavell the word is used to refer to a harbor that was particularly difficult to navigate.

He does indeed.  I really like that picture of him.  I've seen about 1,000 deer in the last two weeks, and none with that coloring, or robust look as a young'in.

Look at the neck and chest of this guy. Obviously its because hunters pass these bucks up in favor of the four points, giving them more years to mature.

That 2x3 in the middle pic looks exactly like the buck I harvested over there this year. I know what you mean about the body size, mine was also fairly good size for a forky. Most of the other forks I saw were pretty fat as well, bodes good for anyone going over in the next couple years.

I know I will be going it just depends on who is going to have tags. I doubt that my bro and I will draw again this year, we have been bucking the odds for so long its got to change sooner or later. I have told M-Ray I would go over with him for the last couple years if he should draw, he just chickened out this year, probably didnt want me to see him get buck fever :chuckle:
