Title: dang it
Post by: newbie on April 30, 2009, 05:45:52 AM
I went last Saturday to Natl Forest on Mt Hull and got a shot at a good sized Tom. He rolled  but after a short chase he got off in the brush and I couldn't find him. There are definitely things I regret  but that was sure exciting when he  I saw him come in. Sunday I went to a spot by Republic and we had 3 gobblers responding to our call for over 2 hours but they were accross the road from the property we were on and we could not get them to cross. Had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back, I could kick myself for missing that one but I'd probably miss.

Many folks would consider themselves tagged out by "rolling" a bird. Not trying to be mean, but just the way some folks look at things like this...... :dunno:
