Looking for a little advice/guidance here. I pulled a Muzzy Cow Tag for the Taneum. Unfortunately I experienced a significant knee injury back on July 11th and just started walking w/o crutches a week ago. I feel like I will be able to handle moderate distances (3-4 miles) with moderate elevation gain/loss by the time the season opens in October. Question - is this worth it in your opinion, or should I turn in my tag and try again another year. Obviously have been unable to scout, so any info on starting points if you think these restrictions are not too significant is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions!

only you can really make that call...get out and drive the roads.
most units you arent going that far between the road systems anyways.

I'd keep it, you can find elk. Just drive the roads in the middle of the night listening for buggles, then go chase down the bugles at dawn and you'll find cows. Hope that helps, there's lots of roads to drive on forest service to run around on.
