Title: Any Burris Love?
Post by: Utah on September 11, 2021, 09:35:41 PM
I just picked up a Full-field II with the ballistic plex as I couldn't locate another one of my go to VX II's.   I might be hooked!   Cross hair a little thick but holy crap It's crystal clear, tracks perfect, sighted it in with 6x at 100yds and two weekends at range and the dots and top of post are spot on at 2,3,4,500yds.   Smacked steel easy.  $160 bucks and I'll get two more just for the hell of it.   Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience with a Burris scope.

Hope it holds up to weather well.  I have buddies with $800 to $1000 dollar Burris scopes that love them.  Anyway gotta give a shout out to good stuff.

I have 3 of the Fullfield II’s. Good glass for the price and they have been very dependable. But I’ve grown to hate the magnification knob rotating mechanism. Bugs me because it rotates the scope cover and in certain magnification positions my bolt will hit the cover.

I have a Burris Euro Diamond on one of my 300 wsm rifles and love it. Had it for years and never had any issues with it.

I give them a , customer service has been outstanding. Took a bad fall smashing the scope on rocks, it looked like toast still held zero. Sent it in they replaced one turret and one bell and it was back in three weeks “no charge”. I’ve got 3 and 1 rimfire.

Have had my Fullfield ll with ballistic plex for 12 yrs and its been a great scope. I agree with Utah while using the dots and post at distances as posted in the user guide that came with the scope. Very good scope at a reasonable price.

Have a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 on a Winchester Model 70 for 18 years.......I check it out before hunting season and it's always zeroed......tripped on a root, fell and rolled, even had vegetation on the scope, sat down and was checking rifle/scope out when I saw some motion about 150 yards away and shot a buck that died on the spot. A Burris Veracity 2-10x42 on a Remington 700 LR that got mixed reviews but is crystal clear.....and allowed me to see well enough to print a 3 shot group under an inch at 300 yards last week. Both rifles are set up for hunting, but sometimes think about putting a 5-25x50 on the Remington......a Burris, of course. I like them.

Burris is awesome.
I’ve had two FFIIs and just bought a Veracity for my son.
Never need to touch the turrets and the glass is very clear.
Easy choice over a VX-II.

Burris fan here.  Only thing I don't like is the eyepiece rotates when changing power messing up the butler creeks flipping mechanisms location.
Another favorite is the XTR II 1-8 for ARs.

I've only ever used Burris binoculars, and they didn't perform against my cheap Vortex Diamondback HD's so I have never looked at Burris again. This thread is making me want to try out some of their scopes. Thanks for the post!

I thought the early Burris Fullfields were sub Leupold Vari x 2
Definitely not close in light transmission. That was a long time ago. But still not a Burris fan. Pretty partial opinion since I haven't looked through any newer Burris stuff.

I have run a pair of 12x50 Signature Binos since 00 or O1. Every archery elk early season and quite a few.late seasons. Boar hunts in Germany including a good amount of night time work.  They have traveled with me around the world and all across the country on businees trips and vacations.  LOVE them.

I have a couple Fullfield II w/ ballistic plex and they have been the most accurate at distance using the ballistic plex of all my ballistic plex scopes.

Used to be a Burris guy. Had all there too level stuff. Stopped about 5 years ago after quality seemed to drop. Switched binos to Leica and scopes to Zeiss. Won’t go back
