We were at the alpine meadows campground a month ago and heard two wolves howling on the chiwawa river. Millerwheeler heard them in another spot not to far away on the high hunt last Friday. I saw two up there around 5 years ago. Very discouraging  :bash: :bash: :bash:

Always an eerie sound. I had a pack cut loose about 100 yards away from my young boys and I just before sunup this past spring while turkey hunting.  I'll never forget looking down at them - one on each side of me - and seeing their eyes the size of silver dollars staring up at me through their face masks.
