Title: Lost my Buddy today.......
Post by: gasman on May 01, 2009, 07:15:36 PM: My buddy Hemi was hit by car and killed to day......
We were loading up the truck and trailer for a weekend up at Rimrock, he was playing and chasing my wifes dog, when they ran across the street and Hemi was stuck by a passing car. Slim (my wifes dog) was not injured, he made it >:( (there is a whole other story with slim that i will not get in to).

Words can not explain how i feel right now, he was my best friend, my partner, my buddy........

The family and I are having a hard time right now, but know we will get through this.

I would like another Lab (sometime or another), but nothing can replace my buddy.........Hemi.

He truly was a great looking pup developing into a great dog. We lost our last lab at 1 1/2 yrs. due to a freak thing and it is not easy and very painful, a year and a half later we have started again though. I see our last dog in the new pup almost daily. It is almost like she is back in a larger male form, but you still get the same looks and love.

Post by: gasman on May 02, 2009, 07:33:02 AM: This has been a very tuff night for me and the family. I have lost pets to old age, but never to somthing as tragic as this. He was only with us for about 7 months but he made such an impressionon everyon that met him. He had charictor, thats for sure.

He was not just a pet, but a family member

Stay strong and soon you can get another dog to start creating new memories with.

Sorry.

Post by: Idabooner on May 02, 2009, 10:32:34 AM: That is really tough to loose one so sudden, I lost my buddy to a massive aneurysm last winter, he was the same age as yours. I got a new one that age now, I still think of Mugs, but I love my new Jack just as much. Real sorry man.

My friend lost his lab to a car doing 50mph in a 25mph zone this summer. (imo) People need to slow down.
