Title: Life Jacket for fishing n waterfowl
Post by: 253shotgunner on November 01, 2021, 02:54:10 PM: Looking for a personal flotation device for fishing and waterfowl so I need one that won't restrict me from shooting a shotgun. Any real world recommendations? Thanks, 253shotgunner

I would wear one while running the boat, but would take it off when hunting.

Post by: ASHQUACK on November 01, 2021, 08:41:39 PM: If you go the inflatable route make sure the inflator mechanism is on the opposite side you shoulder your gun. I bought several of the camo inflatable from Cabelas and when they arrived they were right hand shooter incompatible. But that's what I use and also require anyone hunting with me to use.

Post by: metlhead on November 02, 2021, 12:00:39 PM: 2nd the kayak vest. Mine is a tan Cabelas brand. No shooting issues and really works nice for stuffing cold hands into.
