Hoping all are safe with the storm that hit, but anyone got advice/seen the elk moving? First year in this area and snows got me a little removed from spots 🙃. Trying to get my disabled pops in on some elk, been prolly 15years for him. Any and all help is appreciated and will issue an iou in backstrap.

Been off the 24 rd camped, folks have been there over a week, through the weekend we couldn’t find tracks. Today I drove the 23 over baby shoe and caught a couple sets but guys were already on them, came down the 88 to camp then ran home for the night across the 24/30 to curly creek, same story. We always see tracks at least on the ridge we hunt and it’s a ghost town. Wish I could help you guys out, good luck.

Appreciate the info, been about same, looped up by st Helen's where I'd hunted previously. Saw some guys loading a bull in their truck from 1 of my go to spots 😓 :bash:
If you get any luck reach out if you need help packing

Is the 23 road from Randle to Trout lake still open/drivable?

I was on it Saturday from the trout lake side. At the old cattle guard spot there was a sign in the road saying the 23 was closed 15 miles up due to snow. We never went past the 8810.

Should be, it really warmed up the last few days. I was on it one week ago and went through no problem in my full-size pickup.
