I’m not hunting this year but can’t stay out of the woods so I’m out packing a camera. These shots are from this weekend.

Another one…

So many bucks on the move today!

Thick brushy country…

Would love to see bucks like that make it a couple more years, nice pics!

It looks like you were seeing some decent rutting activity.
-
Great pictures. I'm heading over in a couple weeks, I'd be ecstatic with any of those bucks

Completely agree, I’m still waiting to find that real mature buck.
-
Great photos! I was there a couple weeks ago, not much movement. Looks like things are picking up!
-
Another great night! We saw three different bucks in the last hour of light either with a doe or on the hunt for one…
-

What dates are you seeing the most rut activity? If you had to hunt 7 days in north idaho…which 7 would it be? I vote 12-19

I’d say that’s spot on, definitely slowing down by thanksgiving…

By turning my shutter speed up to 1/500 :chuckle: They are so focused on love they don’t run off as quickly.

Nice bucks, no jaw droppers, but any would go home with me. Good shots, hard to get focused on the animals in such brushy country. Would be hard to squeeze a bullet through some of that brush also.

Yet to see anything this season that is trigger worthy but a great time in the timer…

Time to start rattling… pics from tonight.

The Pan Handle is thick, much thicker than it looks on satellite. But not soaking wet rodies and salal 2 feet over your head thick.
