Trying to identify as a Doe.... :sry:

Wow it even holds it's ears all crazy. You think it has a parasite disorder?
-
No idea, but it probably has to do with his bases
-
My guess would be eating an alkaloid containing weed and restricting blood flow and hormone effects when we were off the charts dry. Especially if several were about

Shoot Doug, looks like you were close enough that you could have just asked! Lol. It appears you are quite close to that one.
-
Yeah you usually see several in the same area when they have that issue. His bases must be bigger than a beer can! Shrunken testicles and still in velvet. Is this near Portland or Seattle? Maybe San Francisco?

I was pretty close. He was bedded so I was able to close the distance.

I've heard them called cactus bucks even though they don't have the classic barrel cactus shaped mass. We shot a 3x3 in late October in Montana that had the same dried up crappy looking velvet - the meat smelled and tasted very licorice/rutty. Still good though... probably why some people say Mule Deer is 'gamey'.
