Title: Any one have any leads....
Post by: gasman on May 04, 2009, 07:40:51 PM
The wife and I are entertaining the idea of getting another Lab, this one for my daughter (Rockey).
We planned on getting one this fall but sence i lost my buddy (Hemi) last friday, we have decited to start looking now and see what is out there.
My daughter is loking for a Female Yellow Lab, perferably on the darker side of yellow not white. (personally, I like the Chocolates, but that is just me)

I you know of any pups available (with AKC papers) i wuld sure like a pointin the right dirrection.

On another note. i will be getting my chocolate lab again, but don not know when.

I recommend Cecilie Drege at Cougar Creek LAbs in Arlington.  I got my chocolate from her last Christmas, and the pup was a bird hunting and retrieving fool last season

Doug Burnett at Cook Canyon in Ellensburg breeds labs, also.  He has good dogs.  He traind my pup and is very knowledgeable about the breed.

John Greer is another good choice.  He runs Tiger Mountain Pointing Labs in Ellensburg.  From what I hear, he can be gruff and doesn't let you choose your pup, but he's very knowledgeable of the breed and will pair you with a pup that's a good match for what you want.

Wherever you go, good luck with the search.  It's always fun getting a new family member!

I know of a great breeding of Chessie. One Deadgrass male left. Pup is in Missouri. Mom and Dad are about to both become Field trial Champions which will instantly make pup worth a bundle. Price is low right now all things considered...Hap
