Ok, were are talking mouse guns here. A handgun you can simply carry in your jeans pocket. No holster, no nothing. Lightweight. Bellyblaster for close and personal work.
Is a Keltec P32 enough. I argue it is. I want one.
Is a LCR too big for the pocket? Pretty damn small and light, all things considered. I want one of these also. Too bad they dont make these in a .32
What are your thoughts.....?

What about a Ruger LCP?
-
I won’t carry anything in the pocket without a holster, not loaded anyway. Too much chance of getting snagged on something and going off. I have carried a snub S&W, Ruger LCP and a GLock 26 in the pocket, all in holsters. Of the lot, I prefer the Glock, it’s a bit bulky but it works. I don’t like anything in my pocket with a chambered round and no safety, so I’ve given up on the revolvers and I carry the autos without chambering a round. I don’t like pocket carry but sometimes it’s the best way.
PS – Keltec is crap, I wouldn’t own one.

Berretta Tomcat comes in 32, very good gun.

I have 2 K-Ts...one P32 and one P3AT, other than dehorning them with an emery board I have had ZERO issues with them. They run well, snappy as they are light, but run well and carry easy. :rockin:
-
I shot one of the 2" barreld Airweight revolvers the other day in .38sp... that was the snappiest little gun I've ever fired. I couldn't hit dick with it... and my knuckle on my middle finger is still bruised. Don't know about the small automatics... but I'll keep my 4" XD tight to the hip... my wife doesn't even know when I'm heeled with that thing... don't suppose anyone else would either.

Scope this out, I was at my Bros store a couple hours ago, he sold a Ruger "LCP"???? a 380 for just over 300.00 new. compasred to the beretta it felt like a club, and MUCH bigger,

I don't remember what I paid for my p3at 380, but I believe it's cheaper than the ruger? I've ran at least 500 rounds through it with zero malfunctions and it's real light, easily concealable (front pants pocket). I forget that I'm carring it. The only down side to it, it's a firecracker going off in your hand!

I like the Kel-Tecs.. :twocents:
-
Nothing wrong with the Kel-Tec, the Ruger would be a solid choice.
I shot the S&W, M&P 340, scandium with full power .357 loads, the other day. Your not a man if you can't shoot 5 rounds thru that.................... I decided I didn't want to be a man after 2 :chuckle:

Hmmmm....
Yeah, some like the Keltecs...some dont. I am leaning towards the Keltec due to its 6.9ounce fully loaded weight. Beat that with a Beretta...
I have carried my wifes smith .38 airweight, nice but still a bit bulky in the pant pocket. I bet the LCR is no different, just maybe a tiny bit lighter.
When ever I carry a pocket gun, it has an empty chamber. Too close to the boys to be risking things... :P
-
14.5 ounces, in 32, that work. I been shooting beretta 22.s for years. I think I'l get one.
I bought a Kimber Tac II 45 today, very sweet.

Rack and go. Practice practice practice. Better than no gun. Maybe just psychologically safer on an empty chamber. From what I have read, one extra second racking a round in, is better than no gun.
-
Makes me feel better. I sure hope I dont find I needed the extra second or two! :yike:

My go-to minimal carry gun has been an AMT Backup .380 for the past 12+ years. Front pocket or inside the waistband (mostly the latter).
-
Every single time I go in to purchase a gun, I leave with something else. Happened again.
I was absolutely committed to getting a KelTec .32, but walked out with a KelTec PF-9. :dunno:
Shot it this weekend, great lightweight gun. Slip in the pocket and go. Very lightweight, under 13 ounces unloaded, no magazine...

why not a keltec p 11 ? My buddy's got one seems alright for a cheap plastic piece of crap carry gun.
-
:) I am real into old Harleys and that seems to go with old guys!! it is amazing to me to see, :)when we show...., the amount of old guys with tiny guns in "the pocket" some where. . :chuckle: "I am too old to go after you but come to me??? you gonna die" kinda attitude. tonight I was with some friends, on a kind of a bet we all showed, derringers, autos etc, plus several full size autos, revolvers etc.
dang some of my "old friends" are very well "heeled"

I CARRY A COLT MK4/ SERIES 80 IN 380 IT FITS IN MY BACK POCKET REAL NICE AND WORKS WELL TO.SOME CALL IT THE GOVERNMENT MODLE.
-
Have never had a problem wth mt kel-tec .32,ever.If I don't have that its a sp101.Sometimes both, the kel-tec hides very well.I will NEVER own another Ruger semi-auto.My expieriences with them,as in more than one, have led me to believe they should stick to revolvers. These they do very well indeed. LIBERTY.

The Keltec .32 and .38 trigger guard was a bit to tight for my hand, plus the weight diff was pretty small, so hence the 9mm.

How does she shoot?
-
I only put 2 mags thru it on the way back from razor clamming. (not along the freeway...)
Shot great. I swear it kicks no more than my other full size 9mm.... Two guys at work already want one, plus my brother.

I carry a Kel-Tec P11 in a Molle pouch...
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/MOLLE152-1.html
The pouch fits flat against my hip (not bulky like a fanny pack), so you won't even notice it under a loose fitting t-shirt. The only mod that I had to do was stop the zipper (a drop of Gorilla Glue) about half-way down to keep the pistol from falling out when accessing it.

IF you do find that...its likely a mighty cold feeling.

I had a Kel-Tek and it was a POS!!!!! I would never even consider one. Failures to fire constantly, the mag dropped out when you fired, the trigger pull was rediculous, the thing was a huge pile of SHAT.

Wow, too bad. I've had mine for years and never a problem. I did polish out the rails and feed ramp... feeds like a champ. The mags can be an issue at times... after loading about 5 rounds, the follower will cant and you can hear the rounds rattle. A couple of heavy taps on the bottom of the mag will seat the rounds.

This is a good gun. I have it in the .22 and .32. You can get a wallet holster for it with a hole in the middle for you finger if you need it quick. It appears like a wallet as well. If not it carry's great on the ankle and in the small of the back.
-
When in doubt go with the bigger caliber  :guns:
