Yeah, because there are so many of these "ghost" guns being built they are putting a hurt on gun manufacturers... another how naive/silly/mind numbed are you?
This might be implemented by the far left Demos because they are afraid these firearms might be used against them if the get gun banned. They are so paranoid and scared that they might start a revolution that they are avoiding, they just want everyone “warm and fuzzy” while they take away our toys. They want everyone to think that they are righteous and right, while they blind you so you cannot see the truth. Just the opposite of someone from about 90 years ago.Probably has something to do with Bidens ATF national data base. Gotta know where all the guns are.

This bill is missing the mark of the goal, as most bills for gun restriction do.
Untraceable firearms have been around for a long time, in different forms. The recent surge in popularity of untraceable firearms is being corelated to an increase in gun violence, while I believe the surge in homemade firearms is due to fear that the government will attempt to forcefully disarm the people. Serializing our homemade firearms is so the government can track who has guns, not so they can address the issue of gun violence. It will not stop someone who has a history of crime or has malevolent intent from obtaining a weapon.
This is how you stoke the fire of revolution.
This makes me wonder if this bill is being pushed by the big arms manufacturers not selling product along with the anti’sI don't really think they crafted the bill, but I don't think they are opposing or using their lobbyists to tweak the bill either. Kind of in the same sense, that there didn't seem to be much manufacturer opposition to previous WA background checks...their products could still be sold, purchasers had the extra hoops.

Anyone who's not in a liberal thought coma knows that the rise in crime is due to 1. the decrease in police on the streets due to mandates, disrespect, increased danger of violence, 2. the passage of laws which hamstring police and add liability, 3. the catch-and-release system of liberal prosecutors with regards to felonious criminals (as long as they're anarchists or Marxists or homeless), and 4. the tolerance of open narcotic use in our streets. I sure hope the red wave helps us here in WA this Fall. Our legislature is completely out of touch with reality.

I can say the same thing about your thinking. Gotta be pretty naive/silly/mind numbed to think if a company that invested millions of dollars into a platform and watched sales and ROI drop that they wouldn’t do what they can to bring those sales back. Gotta be pretty ignorant to think it’s only the left that plays dirty games to improve financial gain.
This makes me wonder if this bill is being pushed by the big arms manufacturers not selling product along with the anti’sI have been thinking along these lines with Remington settling the lawsuit,Are the new owners in fact anti gun and just spent a bundle to get the prize at the end?

I agree nothing good for gun owners, but would be one heck of a way for the antis to cripple the firearm industry for a set price that would be far cheaper for them than any other avenues they have taken over the past 150 yearsThis makes me wonder if this bill is being pushed by the big arms manufacturers not selling product along with the anti’sI have been thinking along these lines with Remington settling the lawsuit,Are the new owners in fact anti gun and just spent a bundle to get the prize at the end?
nothing good can come from that!

These parts just say "unfinished frame", does that mean we can't buy serialized lowers?
Yep just heard they passed it late last night. Suspended normal rules and held a emergency vote. Not quite like what you elude to.

Which they may be able to do if they can prove that you bought it after that date. Not sure how they could do that. If they can use credit card records or sale records from the seller, they could show that you bought one after July of 2019.QuoteAfter June 30, 2022, selling, offering to sell, transferring, or purchasing an unfinished frame or receiver is prohibited, with exceptions for purchases by federally licensed firearms importers, manufacturers, or dealers.

As far as I can tell, this bill has zero impact on serialized lowers. It also has zero impact on 80% lowers that were finished prior to July 2019, which is identified in the definition of "untraceable firearm". There is no way to enforce this garbage. They would have to prove that you milled out your 80% lower after that date.
Did this get signed today?Yep.
