THOSE are cool. I'm not much of a trailcam picture fan, but I sure liked those.

Thanks, that's just a small part of the pile. I've been pressing my luck, I need to find a box for the camera.

I use the Bear Safe boxes. You can get them at Cabelas now. My cameras have been slimed but not tore up.

I'm running by Cabelas today so I'll check it out. This camera here is an I60 so it would be a spendy little snack.

There's 2 more from her that look exactly the same that are 1 1/2 years older, they better watch out. Here's one of them from a couple years ago.

Looks like a good spot for a release. End of a road in someones yard. Pretty much sums up our WDFW.
-
That's the tallest blackie I've seen, great shots too.
-
I was thinking the same thing. Turn them loose on some guys porch. That picture really sums it up .....and if the guy were to shoot, where is the camera man standing :chuckle: :chuckle:

That's my backyard, it's called a hard release. They shot the heck out of it with bean bags while exploding the equivelent to an M80, then turned the dog loose on it. We had a sow and 2 cubs on our back porch in late November and only caught one of the cubs. I was the cameraman.
-
At least he is running away from my house. :chuckle:
-
I wondered if they used the logic, its the last place the bear would come back too after that experience.

That's Bruce Richards holding the dog. He's the local game warden in Enumclaw. Not a bad guy if you're following the rules.

That's exactly the idea Bone! We actually had to pull the trap back and get it to this position before they would release. They want the bear to see the house as a bad experience with the hope it won't return!!! But I'm not sure if it worked or not cause I think this bear is still very close as he looks like one that has been on the trail camera before but who knows.
-
I thought maybe you pissed the game warden off - He said in a fit "I'll show you; I am gonna release a bear in your back yard.... See how you like a little of that" then a few days later - he is letting a bear loose in your backyard. :chuckle:

Seems to me that they are only teaching it that your house is bad not all houses. Just my thoughts.

I think they can track that too. They tried to ear tag it, but after a 10 minute wrestling match they decided to just do the hard release. That situation was partially my fault, we left for Thanksgiving and I forgot to bring in the dogfood from the back deck. If people keep their garbage and food put away there usually isn't a problem. Anyways back to the original point of this post.... Cool picture huh? :)
-
Very cool to get to see that. It was nice that they let you take part in it. Cool pic.
-
That bear looks to be in fight or flight mode...the look on their faces is priceless. Were you just hanging out in a lawn chair on the deck with a beer taking pics? :chuckle:
-
They were real nice and let us be part of the whole process. M_ray was either videoing or taking pictures as well as I. The tranquilizer didn't take like they wanted and I have a great wrestling sequence on DVD :chuckle: A 100 pound bear was all 3 men could handle. They even let the kids be there for the whole release.

That's awesome thanks for sharing.
