Title: Moose protection ?

Pick up a rock little smaller than a golf ball .
Hit it in the chest ,and it ran off.

I had a cow + calf get too close, threw rocks at her. It took a lot of rocks bouncing off her and she was makin noises

So I dunno each one different I think

That is not a surefire solution.

One night my hounds went off and would not shut up so I went outside in just my boots and underwear. Had my trusty dog beater in hand. When the flashlight caught a cow moose feeding, she looked at me with a "look at the tough guy in his shorts and boots " look. I turned around and went back in. I do get a lot of moose in my game cam pics. One spot I've had 5 for the last 3 years. Cows with calves included. I'm very careful there.

I agree it's definitely not a sure solution.
But all I had was rifle or rock and at the end of the day moose walked away alive.
But ya not saying it's perfect ,it did work for me one time.

Had one come out of a lake with her ears pinned back. She did a quick 90 and ran off when I pulled the hammer back.
