I know how to spell SKS.
I know about a thousand countries made them in a million different configuration.
That's all I know about them.
Does anyone know if a good resource for pricing various SKS's for sale?

I was buying them for as little as $50, as I recall.
Bought at around $75 also.
Some of mine were packed in fish oil. You could literally see fish scale parts in the oil they were packed in.
I cleaned them up good. They smelled like fish, LOL

You can ask whatever price you want.
I believe pre covid they where about 400.
Mid covid they probably was 600+
They are starting to come down now.
Along with ar15 and all that jazz are coming back to reality.
I'm talking China and yugo ones.
If you got a Russian one ,that might be a different story of what it's worth.
I paid 200 about 8 years ago for SKS.
And 169.00 or something for a Russian nagant.

You're going to get top dollar from collectors and the easiest way to reach many collectors in one marketplace is through GunBroker. I have transferred two SKS in recent months that sold for over $1000 that were bought through GunBroker.

Selling on GunBroker is the only way to go. I have sold a few guns there that went for way more than I expected. The exposure on GunBroker for an item you want to sell is considerably higher than you will get on any local forum.

Here is a recent thread on Ar15 .com. There are no more being imported and what was once a $99 beater truck gun are now a collector item. Sounds crazy but I would price them in the $600 range

When the time comes, I will definitely use gunbroker.
I've bought/sold a bunch on there. One of my sons sells a bunch on there, so he's a trusted seller with a bunch of transactions under his belt. That helps put buyers at ease.
I just bought these things a thousand years ago (my personal protest of the Brady Bill), and stuffed them in a safe.
I've definitely got some homework in front of me to figure out exactly what I have, LOL.
I dremel'd 2 of them to accept duck bill magazines, and ran maybe a thousand rounds thru them total. I'll just keep those two. The others I didn't modify.
