Title: downriggers
Post by: Crunchy on March 24, 2022, 09:29:12 PM: I am looking to buy a new pair of downriggers for the new boat. Anyone using the Scotty 2106s give a review. otherwise I will go back to the 1106s.

I have the 1106 and the 2106 Scotty's and both are great. I had never found a need to replace the 1106 riggers until I fished a bunch with a buddy that had the 2106 on his boat and then when I went out and fished on my boat I was annoyed at how slow the 1106 riggers were. I love the quickness of the 2106 riggers when salmon fishing, but when I am kokanee fishing i use the 1106 due to fishing shallow and lighter downrigger balls. Both are bullet proof and work great, the 2106 will allow for using 20lb balls and that is nice when fishing deep in certain areas.

And put Mag 10s on my small boat
For some reason I like the Cannons better, especially the plugs, although Scotties are solid
