The rest of Dad's Namibian trophies are finally in his house. Thought I would post the photos. Mine should be here by the end of the month.

very nice...those eland are huge!

around 2,000 pounds...
I initally questioned why he wanted to shoot one, but I really like the mount and it was a great hunt. Best eating game animal on earth I think too.
This shot gives you an idea how big they are. The guy standing next to it is probably 5'6" or so.

Mounts look good but why is the Wart Hog blue/grey?
Great question. The pig actually was blue/grey. The taxidermist took photos from our hunt and matched it. If you look at the photos next to the mount it is a perfect match.
Warthogs really are a kind of blue color once you wash off the dust. they get individual color from whatever they roll in.
Here are a few photos, my pig, and his. mine looks brownish red, his is blue. My mount will be brownish red. I have seen the shop photos and mine is not nearly as blue as Dads.
Very interesting...

those wart hogs sure are ugly.

Wait till you see the photos of my Warthog mount... I have outdone myself. I will never top the concept I requested the taxidermist to create for me... only about 4 weeks or so before I have it in the house. only about 5 weeks ro so till I get served the divorce papers.
