I apologize if the topic has been covered; however, I wanted to reach out to see if any other hunters are having a similar experience.
On March 13th, I purchased the Deer+ Elk + Bear + Cougar License on the WDFW website. On March 19th I received my envelope from the WDFW and noticed immediately that my transport tag for Bear and Cougar were included; Deer and Elk were not. I have reached out to the state trying to understand what happened here. I have spoken with another gentleman who also experienced this and is waiting for a call back from the state. If others are facing the same issue, I will be sure to share my response from WDFW.
I am prepared to receive a response from WDFW that I did NOT select a weapon online, even though I do not recall that option popping up on their website. I took an extra step and did a "mock purchase" of a Deer & Elk combo on my wife's account; I was not asked to select a weapon for deer, or elk.
I look forward to hearing back from everyone. Have a great week
Thank you,
BD

Did you check your account to see if the deer and elk tags are an option that you are able to select? If you didn't select them when you originally purchased your licenses then that would be why you didn't receive them. Just go into your account and select them if that's an option, and they'll send them to you. This is when you'll choose archery, muzzleloader, or modern, and for elk, east or west. The cost for the tags is zero but it will still be a couple dollars in fees.
Should look like this:
-
You have to select which deer and elk hunts you want - choose method (ML, Modern, Archery), and with elk, West or East.
-
Bobcat and Pianoman - thank you for your quick reply on this.
I see where I missed this at the time of my original purchase and I will share just so no others make the same mistake (or maybe I am the only dummy here, HA!)
When you select Purchase a License, Tag, or Permit from your home page, it will direct you to the WDFW product catalog. Scroll down to "hunting" (below fishing). Select VIEW ALL. If you do not, it will only show a small portion on the hunting options. Here you will find "Deer Tag" and "Elk Tag" as shown in Bobcat's screenshot.
Thank you again for the help.

On a side note, if you applied for the multi season tags, wait to choose your deer or elk tags. If you draw a multi tag, and you don’t have your original tag already, you’ll be able to buy your multi tag on line. If you choose a tag now, draw a multi later, then you’ll have to take your tag to a customer service counter to exchange the tag for the multi. I find it easier to wait till after the multi season results come out before picking up my deer/elk tags.

If the results ever come out that is! :bash:

Yup, my buddy ordered his catch record in early March, still hasn’t received it. They told him to go get a duplicate for $10. What a clown show!

Checked the mail
Nope still nothing

They now state they have had equipment breakdown issues and are sorry for the delay
Well isn’t that special
Looks like I’ll be spending that extra 10 bucks

Last year I bought the fish washington and the get outdoors, whole enchilada, hypothetically, I could have been fishing in area 9, got a fish, what no punch card? I called, they said you had to check that you wanted a salmon card, so much for one stop shopping. I am back to brick and mortar.

I know someone who purchased the complete sportsman pkge and received everything twice a week apart. Two of everything you can hunt or fish in this state. :chuckle:

Ah the old daytime nighttime punchcards

Ah the old daytime nighttime punchcards
I think I knew a few fellers back in the day that had a few of them nighttime punchcards, but never saw one myself.

It’s a dockside rumor :chuckle:
-
They probably dont expect you to shoot anything therefore you wont need transportation tags :chuckle:
-
Just screen shot your receipt from WDF, (Yeah that stands for What Da F… )and go recreate.
Wardens have satellite Wi-Fi last I checked and can see what you are “privileged” to.
LOL

can you apply for special hunts on both east/west and rifle/muzzy or archery? It would be nice to be able to apply on both sides or both weapons then pick up your proper tag.

Deer yes, elk no.
Weapon choice is made when hunt choice is made for the draw, unless you draw a multi season permit.
