You may want to go to some of the shoots and see what's on the market. May 14 Landt Farms, May 21 Double Barrel are the monthly shoots east. Or check the shoot schedule http://ww1.mywsca.com/docs/022822sched.pdf (http://ww1.mywsca.com/docs/022822sched.pdf)

Does the browning take chokes or are they fixed? I currently have an over and under but the barrels are fixed full and modified.

Matt, I’d highly recommend the Franchi Instinct L.  I have them in multiple different gauges (12,20,410) I’ve owned Red Labels, Orion’s and CZ’s. The Franchi blows them out of the water. When you get one you, let me know and we can hit up Landt’s. I shoot there a few times a month.

If you are looking for an entry level sporting clays gun, I would look into an INSTINCT SPORTING II. Franchi shotguns are overlooked, same company as Beretta and Benelli.
@HooknoseHunter you need a 28 to round out your collection.

I’ve been telling my wife that for years hahaha. She doesn’t quite share my feelings on the matter.

I’ve got an older ruger red label 20ga, fixed skeet/skeet if a 20 is of any interest

Its all about how much you want to spend. Clay target guns are not cheap, from $1000 all the way to $20,000 and beyond. If you are a casual clays guy, you can have great fun with a cheaper field grade O/U that you would find a Wal-Mart. To shoot all 3 disciplines of clay targets, one might look at the Tri-Star TT-15 Combo. They sell for around $2000, and comes with 5 choke tubes, a set of O/U barrels, and a Un single barrel for Trap, with an adjustable comb. They work pretty well, and there is a mixed bag of advise regarding these shotguns. Negative remarks usually come from the rich who shoot much higher quality/priced shotguns. A Browning 725 combo is probably about the best gun a guy on a budget can buy at around $5000. The 725 comes with same options you get with the TT-15, but in my opinion you get a higher quality target gun. You will see Perazzi, Kolar, Krieghoff, Ljutic, Blaser, etc at clay target shoots...all that can jump over $10,000 in a hurry. A clay target shooter can surly get hooked on the sport. Those shooters that do get hooked eventually will have a high end target gun. The most important factor in shooting clays, is just that...shooting clays. Get a gun you like and go shoot, and keep shooting! Enjoy!

I’m in the $2800-3200 price range for a used gun. Just so many options that I don’t want to be disappointed. Shot the 725, silver pigeon, and the A400 multi sport

I know I'll get some flak for this. Brownings are good guns but do have things to watch for, 725 have special chokes =$ have semi mechanical triggers that always don't work. If you opt for sub gauge tubes the triggers will need to be replaced. Firing pins on Brownings are soft and chip away with hard primers like RIO & FIO. I run two B 525's in 12 and 20 (sub gauge tubes), I carry spare firing pins, springs, ejector pins and screws and the tools to do a quick R&R on any road trip shoot.

In that price range you can get a brand new Rizzini BR 110. I did do a lot of shotgun shooting sporting clays skeet trap and field shooting and have shot a lot of shotguns over the years I have always shot a browning superposed Broadway. I bought a Rizzini last year and absolutely love it.

May want to look at a used Fabarm combo in that price range as well...Also, Next weekend there are two ATA registered shoots, Coulee City on Saturday, and Marlin on Sunday. There will be some excellent competitors there, and no shortage of advise.
