Title: Get your KIDS into Archery
Post by: xXx Archery on May 13, 2009, 10:20:19 AM
Bowtech is helping you get your kids into Archery
with the new Nuclear Ice....WOW what a cool little bow.
This ultra adjustable and extremely forgiving bow will give kids the taste of success they need to turn their fascination with Dad's bow into a full blown archery addiction! The fully machined aluminum riser and cams coupled with beyond parallel limbs not only make the bow look more like dad's, it performs more like it too, with arrows flying up to 200 fps. A single rotating module system allows for draw length adjustments from 14 to 24". Pivoting limb pockets not only allow for draw weight adjustments from 10 to 29 pounds, but help maintain proper limb alignment resulting in improved accuracy.

That is a cool bow!

My girls have the Alpine Micro since they are made here in town....gotta support the local guys.

I taught the NASP program at the elementary school, and the Mathews Genesis and Mini-Genesis bows that we got were pretty good for that because there was no adjusting for draw length.  The bad thing about them is the no let off feature.  The kids had a blast, and they ended up winning the state championship in Wenatchee this year!  Our best shooter was a 6th grade girl, built like a football, who will never be an athlete in any other sport, but she could shoot a bow.  She shattered the old state record by like 30 points; out of 300 possible, I think she shot a 268.  Needless to say those kids are so proud of bringing home a monster trophy for the school!

The NASP program is school-by-school.  You might be able to convince the local district to get into it.  Our school's investment was $5000 by the PTA for about 30-40 bows, 15 targets, arrows, safety nets, and training.  It's feasible ot talk the PTA clubs into putting up the money for it; that's how we got it going here.

That's great Slider!  You'll be surprised how many kids will really get into it just because they have a place to start.  The investment in the local kids will pay off in spades.

He is 6 will be 7 in October, this is the best bow for smaller framed and younger kids, he is shooting 17 lbs right now, they should be hitting the Diamond dealers with more bows soon. he has had his for about 3 weeks and has not quit talking about it since he got it, it's his new best friend.
