How did it do pulling that deer,uphill,downhill on the way out.

where I got it, I was all down hill on the way out. It’s steep going in, took me 2 batteries to go the 6 miles in, first battery died at 4 miles. On the way out w the deer, steep down hill, there are problems. First, the trailer wants to pass you if you brake to hard, second, I toasted my brakes on the way down, they got way too hot. Had to replace my entire brake system. My road bike, Juiced HyperScorpion, when this bike works it’s a hoot. But it rarely works, ride it for an hour, fix it for an hour.
It arrived in a beat-up cardboard box and had to be assembled. Parts were bent, scratched, missing. The battery wiring burnt on the first ride. The brakes are dual piston, hydraulic. Sounds impressive but only one piston actually worked and that bent the rotors. They squealed a lot and didn't do much to stop the bike. The chain pops off every time the bike hits a bump.
Juiced customer service should be locked up; they are downright criminal. They simply ignore every request I’ve made or they refer me to a 3rd party YouTube video on how to fix their junk. Obviously just trying to run out the clock on the warranty.
I could go on, but you get the point. Avoid Juiced Bikes.

Curious how old your batteries are? I have rode all day with a pack zero recharge and hauled deer and elk for many miles and made it back on one , I know hauling my 2 boys in there cart during late buck I noticed battery took a little hit due too the hills Just curios is all my battery is about 3 years old now in my Rambo and quiet kat is 2

They are bad as.
28-30 mph if you put in some effort
Yes pedal assist power
20-30 mile range
Haven’t use for hunting yet, but will if needed
My KLR does just fine
Girlfriend didn’t quite understand the effectiveness of front disc brakes
Ate pavement hard, surprised it wasn’t a trip to the ER
Not toys for sure
Love them for the trips down the beach
All down hill there, Steep uphill home

I've got an M2S All Terrain Ultra HT. Highly recommend M2S. Same specs and motors as the Backou/Quietcats, but for thousands less. Compare, contrast, and thank me later. Pics upcoming....

FWIW to get more lower gearing, you have two options, change the front gear to a smaller one, taking your entire operation down in gearing, or you can change your rear cassette and change the spread of gears, potentially widening the difference between gears. Changing the rear means going larger to gear the bike down. If you change the rear cassette, you might need a longer chain, whereas if you change the front sprocket, you may need a smaller chain. After changing the rear and getting a new longer chain, I think next time I would just take a few links out of the chain and reduce the front sprocket, which will kill some top end speed, but otherwise accomplish mostly the same outcome.
I went from an 11-34 rear cassette to an 11-46 rear cassette, 10 speed. My chain had to go from 122 links up to 126, which meant I had to purchase a new chain. Had I gone from a 44T front chain ring down to a 40T, I could've probably removed 2-3 links, kept the same chain, and accomplished much of the same outcome.

If I could pose a question to the group. I’m ready to pull the trigger on an ebike-but the swarm of info has me a bit confused. I’m hoping someone can chime in.
I’m 5’10 200pds, hunt archery elk, rifle deer, and live in Washington. Don’t need it to pack an animal out. Just to get around the many areas from one base camp (travel trailer).
Looking for ease of use, longevity, and solid. There’s some stories of plastic parts not lasting very long and for the money (I know things break) would like it to go more then a few seasons.

You might check out Aventon bikes, the Aventon Aventure is similar, and similarly priced, to the Rad Rover but is a more modern design, and has higher quality components. Also come in 2 frame sizes instead of one size fits all. Slightly bigger battery, more powerful motor, hydraulic brakes, ... They have set a higher bar for entry level e-bikes. Can’t speak to their customer service but their specs, fit and finish, all seem impressive.

That statement gave me pause so I looked it up. Most have a limit of 275lbs, a couple 300lbs, the Rad wagon limit is 350lbs.

Is the trail closed at Arlington too? I thought it had slide problems for some time and was closed where it meets Centennial.
Yeah, it’s closed just West of Trafton as well. It will be really nice when/if they connect the 2 trails (and trim back the blackberries). For now, you have to ride on the road for a quite a ways. Not really safe at all. Better to truck the bikes to Trafton.

I almost got one of these, but I fully intend to sneak behind gates (much to most of this forum's displeasure) and play dumb. Playing dumb with an ebike that looks like a bike is a lot easier than playing dumb with one that looks like a motorcycle. I do think the Surron is sweet though!
