Title: New .223
Post by: StanwoodSpartan on May 14, 2009, 03:16:52 PM: Just went out and bought a new Howa Ranchland M-1500 .223 with a Nikko Sterlings Nighteater scope at Joes for $400. Got home and checked out the MSRP of the gun, scope, and rings/mounts. Around $735 for the scope, gun, dust covers, rings and mount. Pretty excited about the gun, and can't wait to get it to the range and out in the field.

Post by: furbearer365 on May 14, 2009, 05:49:51 PM: Last year i bought the Howa nutmeg thumbhole 223 with heavey barrel. I guarantee that once you shoot it you will fall head over heals for the way Howa builds their guns. Good choice

I just picked up a Axiom (24") in .223. I bought the barrelled-action and U/L stock separate and saved alot of $$. Haven't shot it yet. Hopefully it shoots Ultramax 52 gr HPs well... just bought a bunch of it.

I got it in black--that's all they had... a really good price though.
