Comment 100 times. Send the link to your friends. Literally comment every day. The same Humane Society that keeps feral cats on the landscape and fights to keep invasive feral horses at overpopulated levels wants to manage our wildlife here in Washington. Comment.

To every member here. If you ever do any real estate down in Utah. Frost Family Real Estate is posting fully against spring bear and comments against hunters. Just a heads up.

Check this out. You notice anything about this person posting twice. First they say hunters are posting death threats. Now they say eliminate hunters for the better of humanity. WHAT!!!!!!????
That sounds like a big threat from an anti hunter to me.

Just to be clear, you're referring to the Humane Society of the United States, not your local humane society. Good post.

Lots of antis posting. Get in there guys and gals.

Why they would allow comment from any Joe Blow without a verified WA residence address is completely illogical. They should also keep it to 1x comment per IP address, sure VPNs and cookie deletion can deter this method, but it would at least limit a lot of the multiple comments. I can only hope they'd filter by email given and limit 1x submittable comment per email address.
Taking comments in this manner makes zero sense other than allowing parties with zero skin in the game to have the same voice as WA residents.

This was brought up in one of the recent commission meetings. One of the commissioners made the argument that the wildlife belongs to “all Americans” so we should keep listening to out of state special interest groups.

Just out of curiosity I looked up the name of one of the people commenting against. She lives in Canada. She's not even from our country.

can they put up another poll for the antis...... Bears or trees?
-
Freedom of information act I believe its called, if someone had the time and energy to invest in this route I think it would show us the how and the why of the shake out of an input period. See them all and see how much they count for, how its scored etc., but I think its high time someone found out how honest and fair these input farces actually are.
I cant imagine 2000 people can get credit for 5000 anti statements anymore than I can imagine 1000 hunters accounting for 4000 pro statements. There just has to be checks and balances and it most certainly needs to be public information as Im sure it is to whomever inquires in the correct manner, through the correct channels.

And now people are copying the anti comments name with support. This is hilarious.

Ya some comments are out there on both sides.
But most that comment are against all hunting ,and in the spring for sure.
What's next spring turkey gone.
Fall bear season.
These comment periods where always like ,ya will comment and the Commission will just do whatever they thought will do.
NOW it's like millions of comments and not just hunters,or residents,it's everybody that can copy and paste a link.
Some of these Commission members are taking these into account on whether there even gonna have a meeting.
-
I'm sure theres a clever computer engineer out there that can write script for a bot that posts the same comment over and over between a certain span of time. This "public comment period" is a complete sham.
-
What I've noticed is they always change there name.
And comment something different.
They could be bots I don't know.
Ya I want a spring bear season.
Along with all the other seasons.
-
Ya I have posted a couple times today and I’m not even a hard core bear hunter - those Frost Realty dip*censored*s are real d bags!!

Divide and conquer, now to include demographics in order to cause more division amongst the troops. Must make sure equal opportunity is shared demographically.

When does the comment period end?
Isn't the Commission meeting on the 24th.

I noticed several comments on hunters being the "minority" on this subject. It's interesting that somehow all of a sudden being a "minority" group in the left's eyes means your wants and desires are null and void to the masses as long as that "minority" group is a group they oppose.
-
It is very frustrating to see the lies spread about hunters from the left side. They continue to say things like hunters target cubs and sows with cubs. Just the lies they spread for there agenda is unreal and non hunters that are not educated but neutral on the subject get fed that crap which changes there opinion toward hunters.
Oh and Frost Reality says he is based out of washington and wants to protect his washington creatures but look it up and he is from Utah. What a clown.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease around here. We gotta get pretty loud to drown out these idiots. (although I admit it feels futile with the way it went last time)

Someone on there today from Russia.

You have to understand that the wildlife commission is against hunters! The commission has been compromised by appointed members who are opposed to hunting, as a result they will support keeping as much anti-hunter input as possible no matter what state or country it comes from so they can use that input to support their anti-hunting agenda.
All we can do is input as much as possible. I'm sure the anti-hunting groups are encouraging members world wide to help stop hunting in Washington!
-
:yeah:
And YOU will not change their minds, any of you, all of you/us.
-
Yup. But, I'm gonna have my say. >:(
-
:yeah:
Here is the current commission, bold voted for hunting last time:
Barbara Baker
Molly Linville
Jim Anderson
John Lehmkuhl
Don McIsaac
Tim Ragen
Melanie Rowland
Lorna Smith
Kim Thorburn
So, we would need all of them plus a fifth vote. The only place anyone I have read sees that as even a possibility is John. That said, his latest comments centered around the notion that spring bear isn't a big deal, just hunt them in the normal season (ignoring that there are spring areas not open in the general season).
I think the only hope would be to come up with solid reasons why spring hunting is such a big deal and get those directly to John. He basically wants to know why we should hunt bears differently than other game and be convinced the regular season doesn't provide enough opportunity.
-
is there a email address for John?
-
This should hit them all, I didn't see anything for him specifically:
commission@dfw.wa.gov
I'm going to point out that we do have hunts at different times of the year, archery elk during the rut is a good example of when we stage a hunt for a specific part of the animal's annual lifecycle. We also hunt grouse in the spring, so a hunt not in October/November isn't really unique.
There is also the damage aspect, but I'm not sure if that will get anyone worked up.
Does anyone know offhand how many of the spring hunts are in areas open during the fall? All/some/none? I could check but am feeling lazy.
-
His email is probably his name ,no spaces,@dfw.whatever.
That's just a guess .
But I don't really know.
Be careful what ya say. There lawyer probably proof reads every thing.

Page 17
Not making this a tribal issue but is this because of better management or?
Unless I am misreading this there's no daily limit or season limit but opened year-round in the north half.
This is not an issue between the CCT and Sportsman. This is between the Sportsman and your governor and his game commission.

Almost hate to type this because it didn't seem to be well received by some the last time I did, but I'll keep trying.
I believe that Baker could become a yes vote if this was made into and managed as a damage control hunt. She is very concerned with public support in her decision making. The public supports a damage hunt, they don't support a recreational hunt.
I'm working on getting information to present to them to emphasize the damage control aspect, but the more they hear about it the more likely they may be to turn their thinking that way.

Totally agree.
I have no problem with the north half and what they do.
Our problems our with our governor and the Commission members he appoints.

Maybe they need to hear that a compensation program needs to be started for timber company's,since they have decided to not manage spring bear.
It hurts more if your decision costs the state money.

It's an absolute madhouse. For some reason all the antis are women over 40 who really care about things like feelings and individual bears. They're convinced bears are some sort of unicorn that will dance with them and have a soul bonding moment. Dont get me wrong bears are magical animals but I care about bears as a whole, not one bear with a cute name.

you would be commenting on agenda item 10. I don't see a public comment option during that agenda item other than written so I assume that you have to make comment at 8:45 and just reference that you are talking about item number 10.
-
Won't be able to make the comment period or see the meeting, so I've sent mine in via email.
For those of you who are getting to comment tomorrow... Give 'em hell!
