Doing mine with Leupold. My previous one was 200. With my current load the difference between 100 and 200 is less than an inch so there really isn't a pro/con to either. My current CDS dial goes to 750 but I have no intention of ever actually shooting that far so I'll probably just roll with 200 since I'm comfortable with that.
so if that 750 range is not in your consideration, why even bother? zero at 200 and your only i would say like 7 inch drop at 500 (load dependent).. all in the kill spot on that flat shooter? why i have always done 200 zero.. no dial required for most shots you are taking on game, just high back hold at 500...

Yeah I'm comfortable shooting out to 500 yards. Beyond that I really have no intention of firing at a game animal unless it was a follow up shot on a wounded animal or something. However, it would be a hell of a lot of fun to dial it up to 650 or 700 and let her rip at some coyotes or wolves when hunting further east.

I like to start with 200 with or without a turret. A couple buddies with super flat rifles zero at 300 with out turrets
Like most people, most of my animals come well within normal ranges, 95% of my animals have been killed inside 100 yards, so I don't want a rifle that's zero'd at 300 an have to keep that in mind for closer range shots.
I think I've settled on 200, thanks for talking it out with me :chuckle:
