Looks like a nice car!!! Wouldn't mind having one!

I want one tooo. Before today McCurley had 34 people on a waiting list to buy one, but McCurley can only have 14 Camaros being bulit at a time so 40+ should be driving around the Tri-Cities in a few months.

A Bad Ass retro style with old world 426hp out of 6.2L motor. A freaking screamer just like the old BB's. I know why but it is. They are selling and orders can be made, will go like crazy. GM will still be around so will this car. Only around 33k MSRP with the SS Stripes.

I'm waiting for one with T tops!!! :rockin: :chuckle:
They are pretty cool looking, I just hope there isn't one available with a six cylinder, otherwise your gonna see every fifty year old woman driving one around.

That is a nice looking car for sure. Like the vette though, I wish GM had an option for leather. The vette has always been a lot of performance per dollar but compared to the sports cars in its class it has always fallen well short of the competition when it comes to interior. Why not offer a leather package for an additional 5K or whatever it would be, the car would be so much more comfortable and stylish.

huntnpool if you look at the one that I am seating in it does have leather so did the SS. It must be an option now :chuckle:

They offer a 2ss that has leather and everything. A V6 is offered also but why?!!! Even grandma needs power.
I worked at a service station in HS late 70's. Yes those things before the conveinance stores where you actually got genuine service. He turned it into a quick e store and I quit the day after he tore the lifts out. I remember a little old lady that put 5 gallons in her 64 Impala 409 Auto once a week. Every Sunday after church she pulled into the premium pump, we filled it up, washed the windows, checked engine oil, tranny, washer fluid, everything, and she would bring us home made cookies or a pie. It was just funny to watch her pull in at an idle, barely moving, stop, chat us up, so pleasent, say thank you boys and idle back out onto the street. She parked it in her garage and maybe drove it 5 miles a week. We would just drool over that car, and the mechanic would never let us change the oil or get near it without him around. No I did not wonder why he never let us in it he flat told us why and he was 100% correct. She would come back in the next day wondering why her tires were wore out if we were even given the chance in the parking lot...hell the lube bay for that matter.

Oh Dang...that is like the elderly gal who came into the Texaco I worked at in the late 70s... she rolled in Sunday after church in a 1964 Chevy II, one with small block wings on it instead of the I-6 emblem, dual exhaust and a limited slip rear.. Marina blue with a blue interior, front buckets and a floor shifted Powerglide. Gene (the owner) wouldnt let Roy or I do ANYTHING but fuel and check oils and fluids...HE did all the maintenance and we were not allowed to even drive it!
When she passed, a buddie's father bought it...it was then that i got to DRIVE it..that thing flat FLEW....Hi compression 283 with a Rochester 4GC that just screamed. It ran genuine 14s at the drag strip in street trim....was a bit slack on BRAKES tho...front drums were 1.75s and the rears were 1.25s. NOT a lot of WHOA to go with the Giddyup!

I'm talking about the dash, door panels, console, rear side panels ect. not the seats.
If these are leather wrapped I stand corrected, hard to tell from the pics but it looks plastic to me.

Just takes cash...lots of place will customize the interior :dunno:

I'm aware of aftermarket upgrades, my point and my post was directed at it being done by GM at the factory. :dunno:

Looks like everything else that they have been putting out over the past few years. But, I don't like Camaros to begin with.

The 6 cylinder is rated at 308 HP, I believe. Not your mother's six by any means. Nice looking, thanks for the photos. I currently have a 30th Anniversary Camaro SS Convertible. Artic white with Hugger Orange stripes, 6 speed manual....1 of 251 convertibles made, and....fast. :chuckle:

I thought you meant the seats sorry my bad, the sales manager at Mc Curleys is with you on your idea, he told me that he wishes that Chevy would revamp the interior of the Camaro he said that it is too plain on the door panels, dashes and other interior pieces. I don't mind them but everyone has their own opinions.
