EDIT:
This might be click bait. I am leaving it up in case I am missing something.
-
Did you actually watch the whole video?
What happened or makes you think it may be clickbait?

No, I just post videos without watching them...
Couldn't possibly be the link he posted to the UPS policy's that didn't back up his claims.
:chuckle:
But seriously, yeah I read the policies he said that stated that they would be doing that. But I can't tell how he comes to that pov. But I am also hearing from other people that there is supposed to be more proof from other vendors. So, that is why I said that I am not sure he is making an uproar over nothingburger. :dunno: :sry:

I work for UPS and have heard nothing about this. But what it looks like, from some googling, is that they will no longer do business with clients who sell 80% lowers. Also, they will only ship pistols next day air, due to theft while in transit. Their theory being, next day air reduces time in transit. They will still ship long guns ground.
-
I read an article that they suspended shipping for Brownell’s. And also another gun dealer in Florida.

UPS sucks for shipping firearms. I’ll never ship one through that company after an incident a few years back.

I read an article that they suspended shipping for Brownell’s. And also another gun dealer in Florida.

I’m pretty sure Fed-ex is their primary shipping account. I’ve never had a Brownholes pkg show up through ups, and I haven’t seen one on my truck in a long time. I think we used to have an account though but it’s been a long time. I suppose it was an option by request, though.

Like most stuff coming from The Gateway Pundit, it is a bunch of BS. Do you not think Brownell's themselves would not rally the pro gun crowd if UPS was to tey to pull a stunt like destroying shipments?
Besides all the lawsuits they would have from destroying items payed for and owned by private citizens.
Here is Brownell's Shipping Restrictions page:
"Shipping Restrictions
One-Rate Shipping
A small handful of our products have been considered hazardous materials by the U.S. Government. This makes the delivery of such items challenging and little confusing at times; some shippers will ship one thing, while another won't, etc.
To help you understand, we have addressed some of the more common shipping restriction issues.
USPS will not deliver Bluing Salts or Oxynate #84™ - they must be sent FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
USPS restricts shipment of all Limited Quantity (LQ) and all hazardous materials. Examples include: Amer-Lene, Bluing Salts, Cold Blues (32 oz. or larger), Hydrochloric Acid, Paint Remover, Parkerizing (gallons), and a few more.
Limited Quantity and hazardous materials will only travel UPS or FedEx and require an additional hazardous fee.
Hazardous ships UPS Ground with an additional Hazardous fee of $19.95 and requires a signature on delivery.
Note: Hazardous materials and Limited Quantity products can only be sent ground (they can never go 2 Business Days or 1 Business Day Plans, because these services involve air-delivery). However, let's say you were ordering Bluing Salts and a scope. Our shippers will automatically split your order into two: One consisting of the restricted shipping item and another consisting of the regular item. Unfortunately this generates two sets of shipping charges. If the regular item is urgent, you may have it delivered 2 Business Days or 1 Business Day, while the Bluing Salts will remain ground. We realize this is confusing and expensive. Below are illustrated scenarios.
$19.95
+$30.00
$49.95 (hazardous fee)
(1 Business Day shipping for scope)
total
$19.95
+$20.00
$39.95 (hazardous fee)
(2 Business Days shipping for scope)
total
$19.95
+$12.00
$31.95 (hazardous fee)
(One-Rate shipping for scope)
total"
Interesting nothing about this BS story at all!

Here’s one not from the gateway pundit. 🙄

"UPS may..."......."UPS might.....".........wait until it says "UPS will....." and then gives a date before getting excited.

Letter looks to be 99.99% chance of being a fake. Notice there is also a link right below the picture in the article to make a contribution to support more "journalism" like that. Someone posts a fake letter and everyone just runs with it without verifying anything to get clicks and donations.
I can't imagine getting a letter from UPS with no account number, no signature line details and a single run-on paragraph. The UPS address is in a different font and size and doesn't include the company name and the logo is wrong (registered trademark symbol should be yellow - black might be an older version?). It also has no contact info other than a generic e-mail.
Here's a letter from UPS to the Teamsters, several notable differences. There are more than one example of letters out there and they all seem to follow the same format which is clearly different than the one posted.
https://www.tdu.org/ups_freight_faqs
Not 100% proof, but raises questions that none of the articles seemed bothered to follow up on. All of the articles have identical quotes which means they are simply copying what they read somewhere else instead of verifying anything.
-
There are tons of articles online saying this will happen but nothing actually from UPS or anything that seems legitimate indicating it’s really a thing...
-
My neighbor just retired from UPS. He said it's BS.
-
I delivered a couple rifles yesterday. Weird, how could this be!

Well obviously you did not read the news on "The Gateway Pundit" or you would have destroyed them :hello:

I assumed he works for UPS from his "I Delivered" part :o

Today, I delivered 2 more rifles and a PISTOL 😮. I should probably destroy the next batch coming through, for the safety of the public!
-
Well since they are already paid for, and you are expected to destroy them, you could bring them to my house and I pinky swear to destroy them for you!
:chuckle:
