Happy Independence Day all,
Just curious if there is route over Manashtash from I-90 that would save me time rather than going into Yakima and coming up 410 into 346?
This is for a stock 1/2 ton pavement princess. Road up to Quartz appears decent until you hit the ridge and drop down the other side? I'm only concerned through September so weather shouldn't be a concern. Used to be familiar with the roads on the Umtanum and those were not speedy routes, figuring they are all the same. Thanks for any thoughts?

You can get from Ellensburg to Naches over Ellensburg pass (I think?). You can also go directly from the Manastash to the eastern part of 346 onto the 1701 road. That would be via Barber Springs Road. That road can be a bit rugged. I wouldn't suggest pulling a trailer up or down that road. I would check with the forest circus to see if that road is open.

Eburg pass to longmire to naches and up I guess would be the smoothest, fastest route.

If you're hitting the west side of 346 up the 19 road, up and over Chinook may be the best route.

No..
Not from I90..
Is there roads up and over ...ya .
Wil they save you time....no. Unless your already up the stash and just want to drop over..... otherwise stay on the hwy.

U can do it but if ur trying to get to hw 410 it's fast to just stay on the hw but if ur trying to get to gmu 346 to hunt or camp or something then it's a good way.

Thanks guys, needing to cram in some scouting trips before September. Technically, it's faster by 15 minutes for me to go down through Enumclaw and over Chinook vs. Yakima but I think I will lose double that fighting traffic on Fridays. Hoped a gravel path over the top might shorten the route?

Take a paved road!!! Been over 1701 from eberg hundreds of times. Believe me the hwy is faster no matter what.

If enumclaw is the faster route take pyramid pass from green water over it will drop you into the little naches
