Went for a drive tonight and had this guy lock up on me at 30 yards. Saw another nice 4pt right after. Very ready for archery season.
-
Nice one.
Hopefully this one will be in freezer Sept 1 :chuckle:

Ran into this bachelor group of blackies about six weeks ago in the early AM. Fun to see but they need to grow a few more years.

A pair of Blacktails hanging around my old mans place.

I'm pretty sure forum rules state location must be included when posting pre season scouting pics of antlered animals. Antlerless locations are not required... :chuckle:

are these cameras on your guy's private land or are they on public land? if they are on public land do you just leave them out there for months at a time?

A mix of both for me and I leave mine up year round unless they are going to get covered up by snow then I pull them.

Got this buck on camera a few times, this is the last real good shot I have of him. The camera is in a little spot of public I had to cross a river to get to and I hadn’t been able to get in there since mid May due to high flows. At some point shortly after this photo a vine climbed up the tree and conveniently blocked my trail camera. Might try to sit this area in a stand a few times in September and see what that buck turned into

My pic was taken with a canon 5R but I do have trail cams I leave out monthscat a time too.

Here’s a couple from one of my cams up in the mountains, nothing special but it’s also more of a transitory area so I expect some better bucks will show up come October. Apparently the elk up there don’t like trail cameras as they chewed through the strap on this cam about 2 weeks after it was placed and the other cam the day after it was placed
